Even though the book was written from an EDA or electronics industry perspective, I believe the same commandments apply to most industries. I wonder, if this book would (or should) serve as a primer to business or law school graduates who want to specialize in patents or get involved in standards organizations. These are lessons learnt from a battlefield veteran, involved in working several standards organizations. This book also provides a window to the workings of the standards organization, tricks played by participants and non-participants to advance or stall the progress.
